Project Implementation Specialist
Prior to beginning his career in banking in 2009, Matthew received his bachelor’s degree in communication studies and theater from South Dakota State University, and taught high school theater for several years. Then, he went on to earn his Master’s in Business Administration in business innovation and marketing from the University of Sioux Falls in 2020.
He joined the team as the Product and Customer Service Specialist in March 2020. Prior to that, he served as a fraud specialist with The First National Bank in Sioux Falls, owner of The Advantage Network.
“My favorite part about my job is that I get to learn new things every day.”
“I came to work here because of the Bank’s history in the community,” he says. “My favorite part about my job is that I get to learn new things every day.”
When he’s not assisting our member institutions with their debit card programs, he enjoys theater, taking on home improvement and yardwork projects, and running. A fun fact about Matthew: his first job was being the voice of Wilbur the Coyote, the animatronic mascot and waiter at Gigglbees restaurant in Sioux Falls and Rapid City. It was in this role that he once had an extended conversation with Kevin Costner!
